महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-91, verse-12

वनं प्रवेक्ष्ये विप्रेन्द्रा विभजध्वं महीमिमाम् ।
चतुर्धा पृथिवीं कृत्वा चातुर्होत्रप्रमाणतः ॥१२॥
12. vanaṁ pravekṣye viprendrā vibhajadhvaṁ mahīmimām ,
caturdhā pṛthivīṁ kṛtvā cāturhotrapramāṇataḥ.

12. O chief among brahmins (viprendra)! I shall enter the forest. Divide this earth, having apportioned it into four parts according to the standard of the four hotṛ priests.
