महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-91, verse-11

अश्वमेधे महायज्ञे पृथिवी दक्षिणा स्मृता ।
अर्जुनेन जिता सेयमृत्विग्भ्यः प्रापिता मया ॥११॥
11. aśvamedhe mahāyajñe pṛthivī dakṣiṇā smṛtā ,
arjunena jitā seyamṛtvigbhyaḥ prāpitā mayā.

11. In the great aśvamedha (Vedic ritual), the earth is declared as the sacrificial fee (dakṣiṇā). This very earth, conquered by Arjuna, was obtained by me for the priests (ṛtvij).
