महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-200, verse-16

तस्य तात वधात्सर्वे देवदानवमानवाः ।
मधुसूदनमित्याहुर्वृषभं सर्वसात्वताम् ॥१६॥
16. tasya tāta vadhātsarve devadānavamānavāḥ ,
madhusūdanamityāhurvṛṣabhaṁ sarvasātvatām.

16. tāta,
tasya vadhāt sarve devadānavamānavāḥ madhusūdanam iti,

16. O dear one (tāta), on account of his slaying, all the gods, demons, and humans called him Madhusūdana (the slayer of Madhu) and the foremost (vṛṣabha) among all the Sātvatas.
