महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-128, verse-21

यथा वै ब्राह्मणः सीदन्नयाज्यमपि याजयेत् ।
अभोज्यान्नानि चाश्नीयात्तथेदं नात्र संशयः ॥२१॥
21. yathā vai brāhmaṇaḥ sīdannayājyamapi yājayet ,
abhojyānnāni cāśnīyāttathedaṁ nātra saṁśayaḥ.

21. Just as a Brahmin, when in distress, might even perform sacrifices for those for whom it is forbidden (ayājya) or eat food that is prohibited (abhojya), so it is with this matter; there is no doubt about it.
