महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-128, verse-16

अधर्मो जायते यस्मिन्निति वै कवयो विदुः ।
अनन्तरः क्षत्रियस्य इति वै विचिकित्ससे ॥१६॥
16. adharmo jāyate yasminniti vai kavayo viduḥ ,
anantaraḥ kṣatriyasya iti vai vicikitsase.

16. The wise indeed know in which circumstances `adharma` (unrighteousness) arises. But you, indeed, doubt what is the immediate [duty] for a warrior (kṣatriya).
