महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-65, verse-30

शौचार्थं यो नदीं चक्रे दुर्गमां बहुभिर्जलैः ।
यां तां पुण्यतमां लोके कौशिकीति विदुर्जनाः ॥३०॥
30. śaucārthaṁ yo nadīṁ cakre durgamāṁ bahubhirjalaiḥ ,
yāṁ tāṁ puṇyatamāṁ loke kauśikīti vidurjanāḥ.

yāṃ tāṃ puṇyatamāṃ loke kauśikī iti viduḥ janāḥ
30. He (Viśvāmitra) who, for the sake of purification, created a river, made impassable by abundant waters—that very river which people in the world know as the most sacred Kauśikī.
