योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-29, verse-66

ज्ञत्वेन ज्ञत्वमासाद्य मुनिर्भवति मानवः ।
अज्ञत्वादज्ञतामेत्य प्रयाति पशुवृक्षताम् ॥ ६६ ॥
jñatvena jñatvamāsādya munirbhavati mānavaḥ ,
ajñatvādajñatāmetya prayāti paśuvṛkṣatām 66

ajñatvāt ajñatām etya prayāti paśuvṛkṣatām

66. A human being, by attaining knowledge (jñatva), becomes a sage. However, through ignorance (ajñatva), by falling into a state of unknowing, one descends to the level of animals and trees.
