योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-29, verse-24

जाग्रत्यपि सुषुप्तश्चेज्जागर्षि च सुषुप्तके ।
जाग्रत्सषुप्तयोरैक्यात्तदस्त्यसि निरामयः ॥ २४ ॥
jāgratyapi suṣuptaścejjāgarṣi ca suṣuptake ,
jāgratsaṣuptayoraikyāttadastyasi nirāmayaḥ 24
24. jāgrati api suṣuptaḥ cet jāgarṣi ca suṣuptake
jāgratsuṣuptayoḥ aikyāt tat asti asi nirāmayaḥ
24. jāgrati api cet suṣuptaḥ suṣuptake ca jāgarṣi
jāgratsuṣuptayoḥ aikyāt tat asti asi nirāmayaḥ
24. If you remain 'asleep' (undisturbed) even in the waking state, and 'awake' (aware) even in deep sleep, then, owing to the unity of the waking and deep sleep states, that (unity) exists, and you are truly free from all affliction.
