योगवासिष्ठः yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-29, verse-62

अयमाकाशमेवाहं यदि शाम्याम्यवासनम् ।
वासनां तु न बध्नासि स्थित एवासि चिन्नभः ॥ ६२ ॥

ayamākāśamevāhaṃ yadi śāmyāmyavāsanam ,
vāsanāṃ tu na badhnāsi sthita evāsi cinnabhaḥ 62

62. ayam ākāśam eva aham yadi śāmyāmi avāsanam
vāsanām tu na badhnāsi sthitaḥ eva asi cit nabhaḥ

62. yadi aham ayam ākāśam eva avāsanam śāmyāmi,
tu tvam cit nabhaḥ sthitaḥ eva asi,
vāsanām na badhnāsi

62. If I, identical with this very space, become tranquil, free from latent impressions (vāsana), then you, as the space of consciousness (cit), do not bind yourself to latent impressions (vāsana) but simply exist.
