योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-29, verse-17

अन्तर्मुखतया नित्यं कार्यमाहरतां बहिः ।
जीवतामपि नोदेति वासना दृषदामिव ॥ १७ ॥
antarmukhatayā nityaṃ kāryamāharatāṃ bahiḥ ,
jīvatāmapi nodeti vāsanā dṛṣadāmiva 17
17. antarmukhatayā nityam kāryam āharatām bahiḥ
jīvatām api na udeti vāsanā dṛṣadām iva
17. antarmukhatayā nityam bahiḥ kāryam āharatām jīvatām api,
dṛṣadām iva,
vāsanā na udeti.
17. Even for those who constantly perform external actions with an inward focus, latent impressions (vāsanā) do not arise, just as they do not for stones.
