अयत्नोऽप्यफलोऽप्येको ह्यपूर्णोऽप्यस्तसंगतिः ।
शुष्याम्यत्र वने साधो घुणक्षुण्ण इव द्रुमः ॥ १३ ॥

13. O virtuous one (sādho), I am here in this forest, making no effort, fruitless, utterly alone, indeed unfulfilled, and having lost all connections, I waste away, just like a tree eaten by termites.
