योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-6, chapter-1, verse-27

सुगृहीतं धिया राम मद्वचो न करोषि चेत् ।
तत्पतस्यवटे त्यक्तदीपो वान्धो निशास्विव ॥ २७ ॥
sugṛhītaṃ dhiyā rāma madvaco na karoṣi cet ,
tatpatasyavaṭe tyaktadīpo vāndho niśāsviva 27
27. su-gṛhītam dhiyā rāma mat-vacaḥ na karoṣi cet tat
patasi avaṭe tyakta-dīpaḥ vā andhaḥ niśāsu iva
27. rāma,
cet dhiyā mat-vacaḥ su-gṛhītam na karoṣi,
tat (tvam) avaṭe patasi,
yathā andhaḥ tyakta-dīpaḥ niśāsu iva (patati).
27. O Rāma, if you do not grasp my words well with your intellect, then you will fall into a pit, just like a blind person who has abandoned his lamp in the darkness of the night.
