मन्ये भवेतामात्मज्ञौ नात्मज्ञानादृते मतिः ।
प्रमृष्टसदसद्भावाद्भवत्यस्तभया मृतौ ॥ ३२ ॥

manye bhavetām ātmajñau na ātmajñānāt ṛte matiḥ
pramṛṣṭa-sat-asat-bhāvāt bhavati astabhayā mṛtau

manye (yat) etau ātmajñau bhavetām ātmajñānāt ṛte matiḥ mṛtau astabhayā na bhavati (sā hi) pramṛṣṭa-sat-asat-bhāvāt bhavati.

I believe these two are knowers of the self (ātman). For without knowledge of the self (ātman), the intellect (mati) does not become fearless at death; (such a state) arises from having cleared away the distinctions of being (sat) and non-being (asat).
