योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-71, verse-20

स्थिताया अज्ञताम्भोधौ क्व ममाभ्युदयो भवेत् ।
अन्धस्योदेति प्राकाश्यं नखद्योतानुसेविनः ॥ २० ॥
sthitāyā ajñatāmbhodhau kva mamābhyudayo bhavet ,
andhasyodeti prākāśyaṃ nakhadyotānusevinaḥ 20

20. How can there be any progress for me, immersed as I am in the ocean of ignorance (ajñatā)? For a blind person relying on the meager light of a fingernail, true illumination does not arise.
