योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-3, chapter-13, verse-52

चित्त्वाद्द्रवत्वात्सलिलमिवावर्ततयात्मनि ।
असदेवेदमाभाति सदिवेहानुभूयते ॥ ५२ ॥
cittvāddravatvātsalilamivāvartatayātmani ,
asadevedamābhāti sadivehānubhūyate 52
52. cittvāt dravatvāt salilam iva āvartatayā ātmani
asat eva idam ābhāti sat iva iha anubhūyate
52. ātmani cittvāt dravatvāt,
āvartatayā salilam iva idam asat eva ābhāti,
iha sat iva anubhūyate.
52. Because of its conscious (cit) nature and its inherent fluidity, this (phenomenal world) appears in the Self (ātman) like eddies in water. Though it is truly non-existent (asat), it appears to be existent and is experienced here as if it were real (sat).
