प्रेक्षेऽहमिति भावेन द्रष्टुं प्रसरतीव खे ।
ततो रन्ध्रद्वयेनैव भाविबाह्याभिधं पुनः ॥ २८ ॥

With the thought, 'I observe,' it (the subtle consciousness) spreads forth to perceive, as if in space. Then, by means of two apertures, that which will be named 'the external' again manifests.
