योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-2, chapter-1, verse-6

विश्वामित्र उवाच ।
आत्मोदन्तसमं राम कथ्यमानमिदं मया ।
श्रृणु व्यासात्मजोदन्तं जन्मनामन्तकारणम् ॥ ६ ॥
viśvāmitra uvāca ,
ātmodantasamaṃ rāma kathyamānamidaṃ mayā ,
śrṛṇu vyāsātmajodantaṃ janmanāmantakāraṇam 6

6. Viśvāmitra said: "O Rāma, listen to this story of Vyāsa's son, which I am relating and which is like my own story, and which is the cause for the cessation of births (saṃsāra)."
