योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-2, chapter-1, verse-17

व्यासोऽपि भगवान्बुद्धवा पुत्राभिप्रायमीदृशम् ।
प्रत्युवाच पुनः पुत्रं नाहं जानामि तत्त्वतः ॥ १७ ॥
vyāso'pi bhagavānbuddhavā putrābhiprāyamīdṛśam ,
pratyuvāca punaḥ putraṃ nāhaṃ jānāmi tattvataḥ 17
17. vyāsaḥ api bhagavān buddhvā putra-abhiprāyam īdṛśam
pratyuvāca punaḥ putram na aham jānāmi tattvataḥ
17. bhagavān vyāsaḥ api putram īdṛśam abhiprāyam buddhvā
punaḥ putram pratyuvāca "aham tattvataḥ na jānāmi"
17. Even the venerable Vyasa (bhagavān), understanding his son's intention, replied to him, "I do not truly know the fundamental reality (tattvataḥ)."
