योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-3

मम चित्तमहारण्येव्यामोहतिमिराकुले ।
शून्ये ताण्डविनी जाता भृशमाशापिशाचिका ॥ ३ ॥

3. mama cittamahāraṇye vyāmohatimirākule | śūnye
tāṇḍavinī jātā bhṛśam āśāpiśācikā || 3 ||
3. In the vast and desolate forest of my mind (citta), which is overwhelmed by the darkness of delusion (vyāmoha), the fiend of hope (āśā) has begun to dance wildly.
