योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-34

सर्वेषां जन्तुजातानां संसारव्यवहारिणाम् ।
परिप्रोतमनोमाला तृष्णा बन्धनरज्जुवत् ॥ ३४ ॥

34. For all kinds of living beings engaged in the worldly existence (saṃsāra), desire (tṛṣṇā) is like a binding rope, a garland of minds intricately woven together.
