योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-29

पदं करोत्यलङ्घ्येऽपि तृप्तापि फलमीहते ।
चिरं तिष्ठति नैकत्र तृष्णा चपलमर्कटी ॥ २९ ॥
padaṃ karotyalaṅghye'pi tṛptāpi phalamīhate ,
ciraṃ tiṣṭhati naikatra tṛṣṇā capalamarkaṭī 29
29. padam karoti alaṅghye api tṛptā api phalam īhate
ciram tiṣṭhati na ekatra tṛṣṇā capalamarkaṭī
29. Craving (tṛṣṇā), like a restless monkey, finds a foothold even in what is insurmountable. Even when it is satisfied, it still desires further results. It never remains in one place for long.
