योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-25

यन्न शक्रोति तत्रापि धत्ते ताण्डवितां गतिम् ।
नृत्यत्यानन्दरहितं तृष्णा जीर्णेव नर्तकी ॥ २५ ॥
yanna śakroti tatrāpi dhatte tāṇḍavitāṃ gatim ,
nṛtyatyānandarahitaṃ tṛṣṇā jīrṇeva nartakī 25
25. yat na śaknoti tatra api dhatte tāṇḍavitām gatim
nṛtyati ānanda rahitam tṛṣṇā jīrṇā iva nartakī
25. Even where it cannot succeed, craving (tṛṣṇā) assumes a dancing gait, and dances without joy, like an old, worn-out dancer.
