योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-17

कुटिला कोमलस्पर्शा विषवैषम्यशंसिनी ।
दशत्यपि मनाक्स्पृष्टा तृष्णा कृष्णेव भोगिनी ॥ १७ ॥

daśatyapi manākspṛṣṭā tṛṣṇā kṛṣṇeva bhoginī 17
17. kuṭilā komalasparśā viṣavaiṣamyaśaṃsinī daśati
api manāk spṛṣṭā tṛṣṇā kṛṣṇā iva bhoginī
17. Craving (tṛṣṇā) is crooked and soft to the touch, yet it forebodes the venomous discord of poison. Even when merely touched, it bites, just like a black female serpent (bhoginī).
