योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-28

नष्टमुत्सृज्य तिष्ठन्तं तृष्णा वृक्षमिवापरम् ।
पुरुषात्पुरुषं याति तृष्णा लोलेव पक्षिणी ॥ २८ ॥
naṣṭamutsṛjya tiṣṭhantaṃ tṛṣṇā vṛkṣamivāparam ,
puruṣātpuruṣaṃ yāti tṛṣṇā loleva pakṣiṇī 28
28. naṣṭam utsṛjya tiṣṭhantam tṛṣṇā vṛkṣam iva aparam
puruṣāt puruṣam yāti tṛṣṇā lolā iva pakṣiṇī
28. Like a fickle bird, craving (tṛṣṇā) abandons a lost person and goes to another person who stands firm like a tree.
