योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-1, chapter-17, verse-22

अनावर्जितचित्तापि सर्वमेवानुधावति ।
न चाप्नोति फलं किंचित्तृष्णा जीर्णेव कामिनी ॥ २२ ॥
anāvarjitacittāpi sarvamevānudhāvati ,
na cāpnoti phalaṃ kiṃcittṛṣṇā jīrṇeva kāminī 22
22. anāvarjitacittā api sarvam eva anudhāvati na
ca āpnoti phalam kiṃcit tṛṣṇā jīrṇā iva kāminī
22. Even with an unsubdued mind, craving (tṛṣṇā) relentlessly pursues everything, yet it obtains no fruit, just like a worn-out lover (kāminī).
