वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-28, verse-15

यदि चेद् योजयिष्यामि भर्तारं रामकारणात् ।
व्यर्थमागमनं तस्य ससैन्यस्य भविष्यति ॥१५॥
15. yadi ced yojayiṣyāmi bhartāraṃ rāmakāraṇāt ,
vyarthamāgamanaṃ tasya sasainyasya bhaviṣyati.

vyartham āgamanam tasya sasainyasya bhaviṣyati

15. If I were to unite (Sītā with) her husband (Rāma) for Rāma's sake, then his coming with his army would become futile.
