मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
यमस्यैतद्वचः श्रुत्वा भगवांस्तिमिरापहः ।
छायासंज्ञां समाहूय पप्रच्छ क्व गतेति सा ॥३३॥

33. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
yamasyaitadvacaḥ śrutvā bhagavāṃstimirāpahaḥ .
chāyāsaṃjñāṃ samāhūya papraccha kva gateti sā.

mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca yamasya etat vacaḥ śrutvā bhagavān
timirāpahaḥ chāyāsaṃjñām samāhūya papraccha kva gatā iti sā

33.
Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having heard these words (vacas) of Yama, the venerable dispeller of darkness (referring to the Sun god, father of Yama), summoned Chāyā-Saṃjñā and asked, "Where has she gone?"
