मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-77, verse-30

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
इत्याकर्ण्य यमः शापं मात्रा दत्तं भयातुरः ।
अभ्येत्य पितरं प्राह प्रणिपातपुरः सरम् ॥३०॥
30. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
ityākarṇya yamaḥ śāpaṃ mātrā dattaṃ bhayāturaḥ .
abhyetya pitaraṃ prāha praṇipātapuraḥ saram.
30. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca iti ākarṇya yamaḥ śāpam mātrā dattam
bhayāturaḥ abhyetya pitaram prāha praṇipātapuraḥsaram
30. Mārkaṇḍeya said: Having heard this curse given by his mother, Yama, distressed with fear, approached his father and spoke, preceded by a prostration.
