मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-77, verse-25

छायासंज्ञा त्वपत्येषु यथा स्वेष्वतिवत्सला ।
तथा न संज्ञाकन्यायां पुत्रयोश्चान्ववर्तत ॥२५॥
25. chāyāsaṃjñā tvapatyeṣu yathā sveṣvativatsalā .
tathā na saṃjñākanyāyāṃ putrayoścānvavartata.
25. chāyāsaṃjñā tu apatyeṣu yathā sveṣu ativatsalā
tathā na saṃjñākanyāyām putrayoḥ ca anvavartata
25. Chāyā, who was impersonating Saṃjñā, was very affectionate towards her own children, but she did not show the same affection towards Saṃjñā's daughter or her two sons.
