मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-44, verse-38

सोऽपि तस्य पिता तद्वत् क्रमेण सुमहामतिः ।
वानप्रस्थं समास्थाय चतुर्थाश्रममभ्यगात् ॥३८॥
38. so'pi tasya pitā tadvat krameṇa sumahāmatiḥ .
vānaprasthaṃ samāsthāya caturthāśramamabhyagāt.
38. saḥ api tasya pitā tadvat krameṇa sumahāmatiḥ
vānaprastham samāsthāya caturthāśramam abhi agāt
38. His father too, being very intelligent, similarly in due course, embraced the forest-dweller stage (vānaprastha āśrama) and entered the fourth stage of life (āśrama).
