मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-44, verse-3

समाक्रान्तमलर्केण पितृपैतामहं महत् ।
राज्यं देहीति निर्जित्य त्वयाहमभिचोदितः ॥३॥
3. samākrāntamalarkeṇa pitṛpaitāmahaṃ mahat .
rājyaṃ dehīti nirjitya tvayāhamabhicoditaḥ.
3. samākrāntam alarkeṇa pitṛpaitāmaham mahat
rājyam dehi iti nirjitya tvayā aham abhicoditaḥ
3. My great ancestral kingdom had been seized by Alarka. (Therefore) I was urged by you (Subāhu), saying, 'Conquer it and give me the kingdom!'
