मनस्यवस्थितं दुःखं सुखं वा मानसञ्च यत् ।
यतस्ततो न मे दुः खं सुखं वा नह्यहं मनः ॥३६॥

36. manasyavasthitaṃ duḥkhaṃ sukhaṃ vā mānasañca yat .
yatastato na me duḥ khaṃ sukhaṃ vā nahyahaṃ manaḥ.

Unhappiness or happiness, and whatever else is mental, is situated in the mind. Therefore, there is no unhappiness or happiness for me, because I am certainly not the mind.
