मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
एतत्सर्वमुपाख्यानं धर्म्यं स्वर्गापवर्गदम् ।
यः शृणोति पठेद्वापि सिद्धं तस्य समीहितम् ॥३१॥

31. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
etatsarvamupākhyānaṃ dharmyaṃ svargāpavargadam .
yaḥ śṛṇoti paṭhedvāpi siddhaṃ tasya samīhitam.

31. mārkaṇḍeyaḥ uvāca | etat sarvam upākhyānam dharmyam
svargāpavargadam | yaḥ śṛṇoti paṭhet vā api siddham tasya samīhitam

31. Mārkaṇḍeya said: This entire narrative is righteous (dharmya) and bestows heaven and final liberation (apavarga). Whoever hears or reads it will have their desires fulfilled.
