मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-134, verse-18

यथाशक्त्या च दातव्यं नृपैर्ग्रामादिवाहनम् ।
एतत्पुराणमखिलं वेदार्थैरुपबृंहितम् ।
धर्मशास्त्रैकनिलयं श्रुत्वा सर्वार्थमाप्नुयात् ॥१८॥
18. yathāśaktyā ca dātavyaṃ nṛpairgrāmādivāhanam .
etatpurāṇamakhilaṃ vedārthairupabṛṃhitam .
dharmaśāstraikanilayaṃ śrutvā sarvārthamāpnuyāt.

grāmādivāhanam etat purāṇam akhilam
vedārthaiḥ upabṛṃhitam dharmaśāstraikanilayam
śrutvā sarvārtham āpnuyāt
18. According to their capacity, kings should also give gifts like villages and vehicles. This entire Purāṇa, enriched by the meanings of the Vedas and being the sole foundation of the treatises on natural law (dharmaśāstra), ensures that by hearing it, one obtains all objectives.
