न तस्य देवाः प्रीणन्ति पितरो नैव पुत्रकान् ।
दत्तं श्राद्धं तथेच्छन्ति तीर्थस्नानफलं न च ॥२२॥

22. na tasya devāḥ prīṇanti pitaro naiva putrakān .
dattaṃ śrāddhaṃ tathecchanti tīrthasnānaphalaṃ na ca.

Neither the gods are pleased by him, nor are the ancestors pleased by his sons. Similarly, they do not desire the offerings (śrāddha) given by him, nor the benefit of bathing in holy places.
