मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-134, verse-1

पक्षिण ऊचुः ।
एवमुक्त्वा जैमिनेयं मार्कण्डेयो महामुनिः ।
विसृज्य क्रौष्टुकिमुनिं चक्रे माध्याह्निकीं क्रियाम् ॥१॥
1. pakṣiṇa ūcuḥ .
evamuktvā jaimineyaṃ mārkaṇḍeyo mahāmuniḥ .
visṛjya krauṣṭukimuniṃ cakre mādhyāhnikīṃ kriyām.
1. pakṣiṇaḥ ūcuḥ evam uktvā jaimineyam mārkaṇḍeyaḥ mahāmuniḥ

1. The birds said: Having spoken thus to Jaimini, the great sage Markandeya, after dismissing the sage Kroshtuki, performed his midday ritual.
