मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-134, verse-23

लभेत शास्त्रचोरश्च निन्दां सज्जनसंसदि ।
अवज्ञया न श्रोतव्यं शास्त्रमेतद्विचक्षणैः ॥२३॥
23. labheta śāstracoraśca nindāṃ sajjanasaṃsadi .
avajñayā na śrotavyaṃ śāstrametadvicakṣaṇaiḥ.
23. labheta śāstracoraḥ ca nindām sajjanasaṃsadi |
avajñayā na śrotavyam śāstram etat vicakṣaṇaiḥ
23. A thief of scriptures (śāstra) will certainly receive censure in the assembly of good people. This scripture should not be listened to with disrespect by the wise.
