महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-11, verse-38

ततो युद्धमभूद्घोरं परस्परवधैषिणाम् ।
अन्योन्यवधसंयुक्तमन्योन्यप्रीतिवर्धनम् ॥३८॥
