महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-8, verse-28

व्यपसृत्य तु नागाभ्यां मण्डलानि विचेरतुः ।
प्रगृह्य चैव धनुषी जघ्नतुर्वै परस्परम् ॥२८॥
28. vyapasṛtya tu nāgābhyāṁ maṇḍalāni viceratuḥ ,
pragṛhya caiva dhanuṣī jaghnaturvai parasparam.

28. But having disengaged (from their grapple) like elephants, they moved about in circular formations. And indeed, taking up their bows, they struck each other.
