महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-8, verse-2

ततो गजा रथाश्चाश्वाः पत्तयश्च महाहवे ।
संप्रहारं परं चक्रुर्देहपाप्मप्रणाशनम् ॥२॥
2. tato gajā rathāścāśvāḥ pattayaśca mahāhave ,
saṁprahāraṁ paraṁ cakrurdehapāpmapraṇāśanam.

sam-prahāram param cakruḥ deha-pāpma-praṇāśanam

2. Then, in that great battle, elephants, chariots, horses, and foot soldiers executed a supreme assault, which obliterated bodies and dissolved accumulated demerit (pāpma).
