तामापतन्तीं चिच्छेद शिखण्डी बहुभिः शरैः ।
सापतन्मेदिनीं दीप्ता भासयन्ती महाप्रभा ॥२३॥

23. Shikhandi cut that (śakti) down with many arrows as it flew towards him. Blazing and illuminating with great radiance, it fell upon the earth.
