महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-144, verse-18

महद्युद्धं तयोरासीद्घोररूपं विशां पते ।
यथा देवासुरे युद्धे शम्बरामरराजयोः ॥१८॥
18. mahadyuddhaṁ tayorāsīdghorarūpaṁ viśāṁ pate ,
yathā devāsure yuddhe śambarāmararājayoḥ.
18. mahat yuddham tayoḥ āsīt ghorarūpam viśām pate
yathā devāsure yuddhe śambara amararājayoh
18. viśām pate tayoḥ mahat ghorarūpam yuddham āsīt
yathā devāsure yuddhe śambara amararājayoh
18. O lord of the people, a great and dreadful (ghorarūpa) battle occurred between those two, just like the war between the gods and the Asuras, or between Śambara and the king of the immortals.
