महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-143, verse-26

तांस्तु निर्जित्य समरे कर्णपुत्रो व्यरोचत ।
मध्यंदिनमनुप्राप्तो घर्मांशुरिव भारत ॥२६॥
26. tāṁstu nirjitya samare karṇaputro vyarocata ,
madhyaṁdinamanuprāpto gharmāṁśuriva bhārata.

26. But having conquered them (the Somakas) in battle, Karṇa's son shone gloriously, O Bhārata, like the sun having reached its zenith at midday.
