महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-110, verse-19

स नूनं विरथं दृष्ट्वा कर्णं भीमेन निर्जितम् ।
प्रत्याख्यानाच्च कृष्णस्य भृशं तप्यति संजय ॥१९॥
19. sa nūnaṁ virathaṁ dṛṣṭvā karṇaṁ bhīmena nirjitam ,
pratyākhyānācca kṛṣṇasya bhṛśaṁ tapyati saṁjaya.
19. saḥ nūnam viratham dṛṣṭvā karṇam bhīmena nirjitam
pratyākhyānāt ca kṛṣṇasya bhṛśam tapyati sañjaya
19. sañjaya saḥ nūnam bhīmena nirjitam viratham karṇam
dṛṣṭvā ca kṛṣṇasya pratyākhyānāt bhṛśam tapyati
19. O Sañjaya, having surely seen Karṇa dismounted from his chariot and defeated by Bhīma, and also because of Kṛṣṇa's rejection, he (Duryodhana) must be greatly distressed.
