महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-108, verse-22

शक्तिं विसृज्य राधेयः पुरंदर इवाशनिम् ।
ननाद सुमहानादं बलवान्सूतनन्दनः ।
तं च नादं ततः श्रुत्वा पुत्रास्ते हृषिताभवन् ॥२२॥
22. śaktiṁ visṛjya rādheyaḥ puraṁdara ivāśanim ,
nanāda sumahānādaṁ balavānsūtanandanaḥ ,
taṁ ca nādaṁ tataḥ śrutvā putrāste hṛṣitābhavan.

iva aśanim nanāda sumahānādam
balavān sūtanandanaḥ tam ca nādam tataḥ
śrutvā putrāḥ te hṛṣitāḥ abhavan
22. rādheyaḥ balavān sūtanandanaḥ śaktim visṛjya purandaraḥ aśanim iva sumahānādam nanāda.
tataḥ te putrāḥ tam nādam ca śrutvā hṛṣitāḥ abhavan.
22. Having discharged the spear (śakti), the powerful Karna, son of the charioteer, let out a tremendous roar, like Indra releasing his thunderbolt. Hearing that roar, Dhṛtarāṣṭra's sons then became greatly delighted.
