महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-180, verse-24

ये ते वेदाः शरीरस्था ब्राह्मण्यं यच्च ते महत् ।
तपश्च सुमहत्तप्तं न तेभ्यः प्रहराम्यहम् ॥२४॥
24. ye te vedāḥ śarīrasthā brāhmaṇyaṁ yacca te mahat ,
tapaśca sumahattaptaṁ na tebhyaḥ praharāmyaham.

tapaḥ ca sumahat taptam na tebhyaḥ praharāmi aham
24. aham,

tebhyaḥ na praharāmi.
24. I do not strike at your Vedas (vedāḥ) which are inherent in your being, nor at your great brahminical status, nor at the very great asceticism (tapas) you have practiced.
