महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-106, verse-34

प्रशास्य सुचिरं कालं राज्यं राजीवलोचनः ।
पौत्रे भारं समावेश्य जगाम त्रिदिवं तदा ॥३४॥
34. praśāsya suciraṁ kālaṁ rājyaṁ rājīvalocanaḥ ,
pautre bhāraṁ samāveśya jagāma tridivaṁ tadā.

34. The lotus-eyed Sagara, having ruled the kingdom for a very long time, then departed for heaven after entrusting the responsibility to his grandson.
