महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-49, verse-31

एवं कर्म कृतं चित्रं विषयस्थं पृथक्पृथक् ।
यथा कर्म कृतं लोके तथा तदुपपद्यते ॥३१॥

31. evaṁ karma kṛtaṁ citraṁ viṣayasthaṁ pṛthakpṛthak ,
yathā karma kṛtaṁ loke tathā tadupapadyate.
