महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-49, verse-29

स्नेहात्संमोहमापन्नो नावि दाशो यथा तथा ।
ममत्वेनाभिभूतः स तत्रैव परिवर्तते ॥२९॥
29. snehātsaṁmohamāpanno nāvi dāśo yathā tathā ,
mamatvenābhibhūtaḥ sa tatraiva parivartate.
29. snehāt saṃmoham āpannaḥ nāvi dāśaḥ yathā tathā
mamatvena abhibhūtaḥ sa tatra eva parivartate
29. Just as a boatman, out of attachment, becomes bewildered concerning the boat, so too, a person overcome by the sense of 'mine' or possessiveness (mama) revolves in that very state.
