महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-30, verse-42

प्रत्यक्षकर्मा सर्वस्य नारदोऽयं महानृषिः ।
एष वक्ष्यति वै पृष्टो यथा वृत्तं नरोत्तम ॥४२॥
42. pratyakṣakarmā sarvasya nārado'yaṁ mahānṛṣiḥ ,
eṣa vakṣyati vai pṛṣṭo yathā vṛttaṁ narottama.

eṣaḥ vakṣyati vai pṛṣṭaḥ yathā vṛttam narottama
42. narottama sarvasya pratyakṣakarmā ayam mahānṛṣiḥ
nāradaḥ pṛṣṭaḥ vai eṣaḥ yathā vṛttam vakṣyati
42. This great sage Narada, whose actions are visible to all, will certainly narrate the story as it happened, if he is asked, O best among men.
